Northridge is an independent law firm that focusses on the most complex and important matters in sport. Launched in October 2017 by a team of the UK's most prominent sports lawyers, we have grown to become the biggest sports law practice in Europe and are recognised as Tier 1 for Sport in both leading legal directories (Chambers and Legal 500).
We will be hiring our 2024 trainee lawyers from the 2022 summer vacation scheme and offer this to individuals with a genuine interest in sports law, which includes being alert to current trends and able to speak informatively about sports law issues.
As a Northridge trainee you will receive high quality training in all areas of our practice, both contentious and non-contentious. You will be encouraged to think on your feet and challenged to be the best that you can be – whilst benefitting from the support and guidance of your colleagues. A secondment to clients such as The FA or a Premier League football club is also envisaged as part of each trainee’s two-year contract, providing invaluable exposure to every part of a client’s business.
We welcome applicants from all degree disciplines, but you must have achieved, or be expected to achieve, a 2:1 or above at degree level (or equivalent). We do, however, genuinely take into account mitigating circumstances. We do not have a minimum requirement at A Level. The 2022 vacation scheme is aimed at penultimate-year law students, final year non-law students, and graduates, however we will accept applications from those further along in their studies.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to participate in an assessment process, including a written exercise and an interview, before being offered a space on the one-week summer vacation scheme.
The vacation scheme itself offers participants an unparalleled insight into life and work at Northridge. Including hands-on work experience and various activities allowing applicants to immerse themselves fully into the firm’s way of life and ultimately feel like part of the team. There will also be a number of assessments, with successful applicants being offered a training contract starting in September 2024.
