Employment Associate

Northridge is an independent law firm focussed on the sport sector. We are a team of 27 fee earners working on the most complex and important work in sports for a roster of high profile domestic and international clients. Northridge is ranked in Tier 1 for Sport in both Legal 500 and Chambers.

The role

Northridge advises both employer and employee clients on the most complex matters in the sports industry. We also advise clients in the gaming, media and entertainment sectors on a range of high value and complicated employment matters. We have a strong client base with consistent, interesting work. We are now looking to recruit a junior/mid-level employment associate to join our team.

As well as advising on employment matters, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our corporate team, supporting them on market leading sports investment deals.

Your work will include:

• Employment Tribunal claims, including complex discrimination matters
• Managers’ Arbitration Tribunal claims
• High Court litigation, including claims in respect of injunctive relief
• HR advisory work
• Corporate support, including TUPE

This role would suit an ambitious lawyer, ideally 2-5 PQE, looking to join a growing and exciting firm.   We would consider applicants who are looking to work on a part time basis (minimum three days a week).

Requirements

• Solid employment experience from a leading City practice
• Exceptional communicator, with strong client facing skills
• Excellent academics
• Contentious and non-contentious experience, including corporate support
• Experience in sports law is not required, however a desire to advise the sports industry when the stakes are highest is essential.
