Position Summary

It is an exciting time to be working at Legends, and this is an excellent opportunity to join the legal team to advise the international business on a growing range of commercial matters.

Reporting to Senior Counsel, the role will ideally suit an individual with 2 – 5 years PQE.

Whilst experience of working in-house for a brand, rights holder, agency or governing body within the sports industry would be beneficial, the role will also suit high calibre lawyers working in private practice who are looking to broaden their commercial experience with a move in-house. The candidate must be comfortable working on multiple projects and to tight deadlines.

The successful candidate will be based in the UK and travel to the London office will be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the growth of our international merchandise offering. This will include drafting and negotiating licensing and merchandise agreements;

• Drafting and negotiating supply of goods and services agreements to cover a broad range of matters and jurisdictions (with the support of local outside counsel where necessary);

• Advising and supporting our technology team on a broad range of IT/technology agreements;

• Providing accurate, relevant, and timely advice to the business on a variety of legal topics as required e.g. compliance, IP, and employment issues;

• Promoting legal, compliance, and risk management best practice throughout the international business; and

• Management and development of the business’s template database.

Qualifications & Skills

• Qualified in England & Wales (although other relevant international jurisdictions may be considered);

• Excellent influencing skills to support needs of the internal and external stakeholder teams at every level;

• Ability to make quick decisions in a fast paced and pressured environment;

• Outstanding written and oral communication skills;

• Detail-oriented and organised with the ability to multi-task; and

• Capable to work in a team environment with internal and external stakeholders across a range of countries.
