The Sports Department of Sheridans is looking to recruit a commercial litigation lawyer of 3 - 6 PQE.

The Firm

Sheridans is recruiting a contentious sports solicitor to join its growing Sports Team. The role will be to work within the Sports Team and across the wider entertainment practice on a variety of high-profile contentious High Court, arbitration and mediation matters.

Such disputes range from High Court actions and arbitrations across football, rugby, boxing, esports and other elite sports. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in handling and running various High Court, arbitration and mediation matters and will ideally already have a sports and/or entertainment sector focus.

The Candidate

The candidate must be qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales team requires a pro-active, hands-on, team-orientated litigator to lead on a variety of projects. We are looking for an individual with exceptional drafting and technical skills built from previous experience in leading, assisting and resolving complex disputes.

The candidate must be an effective communicator, an innovative thinker, have the confidence to handle a diverse workload and an enthusiasm for business development.

While the candidate will be a contentious lawyer, he/she should also expect to support the team on non-contentious projects from time to time.

The ideal candidate will have excellent academics (2:1 degree minimum).
