Powerlifting Athlete Suspended for Presence of SARM S-22

The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) announced today that Alexandra Stodalka, a powerlifting athlete, received a four-year sanction for an anti-doping rule violation. The athlete’s urine sample, collected during out-of-competition doping control on April 21, 2018, revealed the presence of SARM S-22, a prohibited anabolic agent.
In response to the CCES’s notification of the adverse analytical finding, Ms. Stodalka waived her right to a hearing and accepted the proposed sanction, which terminates on July 11, 2022. The athlete, who resides in Calgary, Alberta, is ineligible to participate in any capacity with any sport signatory to the Canadian Anti-Doping Program (CADP), including training with teammates, during the sanction period.
