Refreshed membership of Horseracing Bettors Forum announced

BHA

Press Release

3rd December 2019

On behalf of the Horseracing Bettors Forum

The HBF (Horseracing Bettors Forum) are pleased to announce that their annual refresh saw perhaps the highest calibre of applicants yet vying for the three spots available as others’ terms come to an end.

The HBF would like to welcome Charlie Hart, aged 25 who brings both bookmaker and bloodstock experience to the table, 52 year old Stephen Winter, a self‐employed on‐line gaming consultant, and Jayne Leggett, MD of Gaming Media Solutions and an expert in both gambling Compliance and Socially Responsible Gambling.

Chairman Colin Hord said:

“The calibre of aspirant this year was perhaps our highest yet, and I would like to thank both successful and unsuccessful applicants.

"Charlie adds a 'bettor and layer' combination and hopes to see a greater transparency between both sides, while Stephen is as passionate as us all about the sport, and is hoping for more accountability from all of racing’s stakeholders.

"Jayne hopes to help us break down the remaining barriers between punters and bookmakers, though all the members bring fresh attitudes and expertise, which can only make us stronger in the long term.”
