Press Release

The Asian Football Confederation’s (AFC) Media Channel, a one-stop window for media news, information and accreditation for all AFC’s competitions and events, has been revamped to provide an even more comprehensive service for the media.

The accreditation registration form has been simplified while new elements have been added to make it more user-friendly. Photographers will now be able to choose their seats online for each match in key competitions according to their ranking.

Media personnel wishing to attend AFC’s event will have to re-register on the AFC Media Channel and will have to upload their media identity card in order to speed up the registrations approval.

New categories, such as Member Association Media Officer, Club Media Officer, etc., have been added to aid all the AFC’s important stakeholders.

The Host Broadcasters and Rights Holders will continue to get access through AFC’s Commercial Partners Lagardère Sports (formerly World Sport Group).

"The media are one of the key stakeholders and play a crucial role in promoting Asian football, not only across the continent but also across the world. Their continuous support to the game in Asia has helped the competitions grow significantly in stature”, said Dato’ Windsor John, AFC General Secretary.

It is the AFC’s aim to continue to provide the media with a world class service and the new AFC Media Channel will provide them an improved environment to gain access to AFC’s news and events.
