Sport Resolutions to assist the ITF by operating and administering its ad hoc Independent Tribunal during the 2021 Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas and Davis Cup by Rakuten finals respectively
We are delighted to be assisting the International Tennis Federation (ITF) by operating and administering an ad hoc Independent Tribunal during the 2021 Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas and the 2021 Davis Cup by Rakuten finals respectively.
Sport Resolutions will operate and administer an ad hoc Independent Tribunal, composed of Sport Resolutions’ arbitrators, during the Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas in Prague, Czech between 1-6 November 2021, and during the Davis Cup by Rakuten Finals in Madrid between 25 November - 5 December.
Chief Executive, Richard Harry said: “We are delighted to be assisting the ITF at their premier international team competitions in women’s and men’s tennis, the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup Finals. The independence of our panels and procedures ensures the integrity of any required process, delivered by our carefully selected arbitrators with the support of the wider Sport Resolutions team. SR’s highly efficient and expedited process provides for the quick resolution of matters that may have a bearing on the remainder of the tournaments.”
The Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas Finals will feature 12 teams (8 qualifiers, the previous year’s champions and runners-up, plus Czech Republic and Canada) which will compete in four round-robin groups of three teams. The four group winners will qualify for the semi-finals.
The 2021 Davis Cup by Rakuten Finals will feature 18 teams (12 qualifiers, 4 semi-finalists from 2019 and 2 wild card nations) in six round-robin groups of three teams. The tournament will take place across three cities (Madrid, Innsbruck and Turin) with the semi-finals and final being staged in the Spanish capital.
