The changing relationship between sport & gambling with Paul Darling OBE QC - E90

Paul Darling OBE QC has a wide experience of commercial and construction disputes and regulatory issues in the sports and gambling world. He was awarded the Officer of the British Empire in recognition of his services to sport safety and horse racing.

In this podcast Paul gives his perspective on the evolution of the betting industry and the changing attitudes towards betting in the UK, and particularly sports betting. Paul shares his views on the business practices in the gambling sectors, the state of research and the understanding of addiction gambling, the use of technology and its impact on responsible gambling as well what he would like to see happen to create a productive and effective in light of the review of the UK's Gambling Act 2005.

Paul has help positions as:
* Chairman of the Sports Ground Safety Authority, the body sent up to prevent a repetition of Hillsborough,
* Member of the board of the Tote and of the Horse Race Betting Levy Board
* Chairman of the Association of British Bookmakers , the trade association which represented most betting of shops in the UK, which has since become the Betting and Gaming Council (BGC).
