FIFPRO calls for FC Dinamo Bucarest intervention

FIFPRO
FIFPRO and our affiliated player associations in Romania (AFAN) and Spain (AFE) are in contact with several professional footballers facing unacceptable conditions at FC Dinamo Bucarest.

FC Dinamo Bucarest has not paid multiple players since the start of the season and furthermore has put their health and safety at risk by failing to ensure medical staff are present at training, in violation of Romanian Football Federation rules.

FIFPRO calls upon the Romania Football Federation to intervene in order to make sure that the club complies with its contractual obligations and the federation’s own regulations.

FC Dinamo Bucarest, which signed more than 10 players during the last registration window, was previously in insolvency until 2015.

Many of the players in this period were left unpaid and unprotected by national labour law because clubs in Romania insist on players signing civil contracts, despite the clear existence of an employment relationship.
