Côte d'Ivoire inaugurated on Saturday (3 October 2020) its new 60,000-seat Olympic stadium, in Ebimpe, on the outskirts of Abidjan. It will be used for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to be hosted by the West African country.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) organized a series of virtual meetings between September 21-24 with Member Associations and zones to present its women’s football strategy as well as the inaugural edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League scheduled for 2021.
CAF has today taken note of the decision by the Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS) dismissing the appeal by Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco in full and confirming the decision of the CAF Appeals Board with respect to the 2018/19 CAF Champions League final.
Ahead of the resumption of continental competitions, CAF has organized an online workshop on Club Licensing and Stadia from 29 September to 1 October 2020 to discuss with stakeholders the key elements in the organization of the game in the next couple of months.
