Blake Hart
Senior Attorney
Blake Hart is a senior attorney at Vela Wood. She advises clients across industries with a particular focus in contract drafting, review, and negotiation on behalf of sports and entertainment individuals and enterprises.
Blake graduated in the Top 25% of her class at The University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas, where she focused on transactional and sports-based areas of law and served as an Executive Editor for the Texas Review of Entertainment and Sports Law. While in law school, Blake supported an NBA team’s Head of Basketball Operations as the Denver Nuggets’ legal intern, gained invaluable corporate law experience as a Vela Wood law clerk, and found purpose in her role as a student attorney ad litem for Texas Law’s Children’s Rights Clinic.
Blake’s day-to-day practice involves advising on regulatory and compliance matters, drafting legal opinion letters, and providing general corporate counsel for sports and gaming-related clients. Blake is actively involved in the sports law community and currently serves as a Dallas Regional Captain of the Sports Lawyers Association.
