Stevie Loughrey

Stevie is a partner specialising in contentious matters in the sport sector. He joined the firm in February 2016, having previously been a partner at leading media firm, Carter-Ruck.

Stevie has broad commercial litigation experience including advising in relation to high-value breach of contract, professional negligence and IP claims. He also advises sport sector clients on a range of disciplinary and other regulatory matters.

He has considerable media litigation experience; he provides litigation and pre-litigation representation and advice in libel, breach of confidence and privacy matters. He also advises high profile individuals and companies on crisis control and reputation management. His previous career in broadcast journalism at the BBC and CNN informs his approach to such matters.

Stevie is commended in the two main independent legal directories. He is described as an “excellent tactician” in the 2016 edition of The Legal 500. The 2016 edition of Chambers and Partners notes that he combines "absolutely brilliant business acumen" with "fantastic interpersonal skills."

He is regularly asked to comment on legal issues, in the press, on national TV and on radio and is frequently invited to speak at conferences.
