Rhodri Thomas is a partner in Freshfields’ Dispute Resolution group. Rhodri acts for a range of national and international sports governing bodies, teams and individual athletes on regulatory issues and disputes.
In addition to regulatory investigations and high court litigation, Rhodri has represented clients before arbitral tribunals such as the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the Independent Appeal Committee of World Rugby, the UEFA CFCB Adjudicatory Chamber and the Union Cycliste Internationale Arbitral Tribunal. Rhodri has a wealth of experience in sports arbitration, having sat as an arbitrator in more than 50 sports arbitrations. Rhodri also holds a masters degree in sports law.
