Jay Kim
Lawyer, Wyllie Spears
A former sports journalist, Jay Kim is a labour and employment lawyer who represents organizations in labour relations matters and employment matters. He also has an expanding practice in Sports Law and provides legal advice to Provincial and National Sports Organizations.
Law Career
Since Jay began his career with Wyllie Spears as a summer and articling student, he has focused his work on assisting and representing organizations in the field of labour and employment law.
Jay has extensive experience as a sports journalist, having covered a wide range of sporting events in the past, from speed skating to football. His articles have been published in multiple international sports law publications. He has a growing Sports Law practice, providing legal advice to Provincial Sports Organizations (PSO) and National Sports Organizations (NSO) and has guided NSOs through Olympic and World Championship selection disputes. He also provides legal assistance to PSOs and NSOs in relation to governance and by-law issues.
