ESIC Issues Four Participants with Sanctions for Cheating and Match Manipulation
The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has concluded a series of integrity investigations resulting in sanctions against four players for serious breaches of the ESIC Anti-Corruption Code and Code of Conduct.
ESIC determined that each individual engaged in conduct including the use of prohibited cheating software (including DMA-based tools) and/or involvement in match manipulation activities across various teams and competitions.
Sanctions Imposed
- Egor “Zly” Polyakov has been issued a lifetime ban from all ESIC-member events. This sanction reflects both the severity of the conduct and the player’s formal admission of guilt, alongside a request for a permanent ban.
- Dimitriy “Propleh” Senigov has been issued a 5-year ban, following a failure to respond to the charges, which is treated under ESIC protocols as a tacit admission of liability.
- Alexandr “Ruler” Maximov has been issued a 5-year ban after partially acknowledging the allegations and failing to provide any substantive rebuttal.
- Peter “Damiel” Markheev has been issued a 5-year ban following an effective admission of guilt through an unqualified response to the Notice of Charge.
All sanctions take effect immediately and prohibit participation in any ESIC-member events in any capacity, including as a player, coach, manager, or otherwise.
Scope and Enforcement
These bans apply across all ESIC member tournaments, leagues, qualifiers, and associated competitions. ESIC has notified its member organisations and may also share these outcomes with non-member tournament operators and publishers, who may choose to recognise and enforce these sanctions independently.
ESIC will continue to investigate and act decisively against integrity breaches, ensuring a level playing field for all participants.
