Thirteen players suspended for one match
Thirteen players will be suspended for the next league match, as well as two assistant coaches.
Sent off on Friday night for a foul towards the crowd, which was deemed provocative, Etoile Carouge's full-back and captain Vincent Rüfli has been handed a one-match suspension. Also sent off this weekend for last-minute fouls, Marco Burch (Servette), Lamine Diack, Noé Sow (Sion), Bung Meng Freimann (Lucerne), and Victor Petit (Aarau) will also be suspended for one match, as will Nicky Beloko (Lausanne), who received two yellow cards. ****
Six more players suspended after receiving their fourth or eighth yellow card of the season will also miss the next round of league matches in the Brack Super League and the dieci Challenge League: Óscar Clemente, Simone Stroscio (GC), Mohamed Tijani (Yverdon), Denis Simani (Vaduz), Freddy Bomo, and Michael Gonçalves (Bellinzona).
Assistant coaches Bertrand and Bruno banned from the bench.
FC Sion assistant coach Benjamin Bertrand will be banned from the bench for two matches following his red card for dissent after the final whistle on Sunday in Thun. Giuseppe Sannino's assistant at AC Bellinzona, Andrea Bruno, will be relegated to the stands for one match after receiving a red card against FC Vaduz for inappropriate behavior with electronic equipment intended to put pressure on the referees.
