The MLS Disciplinary Committee has issued four rulings following Matchday 21 of the 2026 season.
Zimmerman fined
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has fined Toronto FC defender Walker Zimmerman for failing to leave the field in a timely manner in the 56th minute of Toronto’s match against Charlotte FC on August 19.
Messi fined
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has fined Inter Miami CF forward Lionel Messi an undisclosed amount for violating the league’s policy regarding hands to the face/head/neck of an opponent in the 101st+ minute of Miami’s match against the Philadelphia Union on August 19.
Fray fined
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has fined Inter Miami CF defender Ian Fray an undisclosed amount for violating the league’s policy regarding hands to the face/head/neck of an opponent in the 101st+ minute of Miami’s match against the Philadelphia Union on August 19.
Markanich fined
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has fined Minnesota United FC defender Anthony Markanich for violating the league’s policy regarding simulation/embellishment in the 71st minute of Minnesota’s match against Atlanta United on August 19.
