Session #1 10.00am - Updates on Doping in Sports and the Architecture to control them

Recent revelations of sports doping, be it at national level or by individual athletes, has caused much uproar in the sports community. Thus, it is imperative to understand the jurisprudence and management of sports doping. Malaysia's "Flying Doctor", an Olympian himself, Tan Sri Dr. Mani Jegathesan, who is also the current Chairman of the Medical Committee for the Olympic Council of Asia, will present a Keynote Address with regards to the anti-doping efforts in Malaysia.

Session #2 10.30 am - Hypothetical

This off-the-cuff session will see a collection of leaders of respective areas from the sports industry take the stage and tackle the challenge of being posed hypothetical situations, incidents and dilemmas involving sports. Delegates will get to see a live version of a sports debate among these stakeholders.

Session #3 11.15 am - Play by the Rules

Exciting times are in the horizon for Malaysian stadiums. With the upcoming SEA Games 2017 in Kuala Lumpur, massive improvisations of the National Sports Complex at Bukit Jalil are currently ongoing. Eventually, the National Sports Complex will re-invent itself into the KL Sports City. The Chief Executive Officer of the Stadium Board of Malaysia, Encik Azman Fahmi will present his vision of the future for Malaysia's stadiums. Images of stadiums would normally invoke thoughts about football. The representatives of FIFA and AFC will be presenting their respective papers pertaining to rules regarding football, transfers and stadium management. Last but not least, Nick De Marco, a barrister from the United Kingdom, with experience in football rules, will be sharing his thoughts about Sports Arbitration.

Session #4 2.15 pm - Emerging Sports

Every now and then, new, interesting and challenging sporting activities evolve from a leisure or recreational activity at the park into a competition on the pitch. As these new sports emerge, the rules and management of the sport becomes an increasing challenge to the pioneers of these sports. Through this special session, delegates will get to hear a collection of views from the already-established sport of rugby as well as from the leaders of the emerging mixed martial arts and dragon boat.
