eSports refers to online competitive gaming between players who are often professional. The global eSports market is generating revenues of nearly half a billion dollars and has a huge global audience of multi-millions. One of the most popular eSports is FIFA. Many professional football clubs across Europe employ eSporters to represent them at eSports tournaments but increasingly eSports is being faced with similar challenges to that found in the ‘real’ game such as match-fixing, betting fraud, doping and child protection issues. This interactive seminar delves into the fascinating world of eSports and offers participants the opportunity to challenge one of world’s best eSporters to a game of FIFA.
