MUNICH (Germany) - The prestigious TIME-OUT 2.0 program is now officially underway, with 52 participants from across Europe and beyond engaged in the opening seminar of the project via video conference on Monday.

FIBA President Hamane Niang commenced the meeting with an open letter addressing racism, calling on the global basketball community to be part of the change in society.
MIES (Switzerland) - FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis has been appointed as a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Coordination Commission for the Games of the XXXIV Olympiad Los Angeles 2028, the IOC announced on Thursday. Richard Carrion, FIBA Executive Committee member and also Chairman of the Board for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, will continue as Chair of the Olympic Channel Commission.

We are sport, yes, but basketball is much more than that. It is a source of hope, a source of friendship and most importantly a source of equality.
MIES (Switzerland) - FIBA has published recommendations on returning to basketball, with the Return to Basketball – Restart Guidelines for National Federations, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
