Liverpool to appoint new chairman to lift hopes of investment

Liverpool are set to appoint Martin Broughton as their new chairman as they seek to secure new investment. Reports say that the British Airways will form part of a restructured board as George Gillett and Tom Hicks , the American co-owners and co-chairmen, struggle to gain the finance needed to allow the club to compete in the Premier League.
