Cycling officials dismiss claims of 'mechanical doping' in the sport

Cycling officials have dismissed reports that competitors are using small motors concealed in their bikes to give them an illegal advantage over their rivals, but admitted they are taking preventative measures to ensure such "mechanical doping" does not occur in the future.
