Peru's Solano flies to England to join Colchester

Former Newcastle United midfielder Nolberto Solano flew to England this weekend to join League One (third division) side Colchester United, the ex-Peru captain told a local newspaper.

"I'm going for six months to play for Colchester United. Talks are already at an advanced stage and I'm travelling to complete the deal," Solano was quoted as saying by El Comercio's website (www.elcomercio.pe) at Lima airport before departure.
