Gary Megson hits back at Bolton for 'galling' sacking

The former Bolton manager Gary Megson has hit out at the way he was sacked this week, describing the manner of his departure as "galling".

Megson revealed he was given his marching orders over the phone on Wednesday from chairman Phil Gartside and insisted he had left the club in a better position than when he was appointed, despite Bolton being third from bottom of the Premier League on goal difference.
