Harlequins have released the Australian forward Chad Robinson halfway through his two-year contract because of a persistent knee injury.

Sky Sports News understands the Premier League board is now considering whether to distribute around £7million of television money directly to clubs owed by Portsmouth.

Portsmouth officials met the Premier League earlier on Tuesday to discuss a number of financial issues, including the current transfer embargo on all new registrations.

The Stade Français half-back, who made his debut for France in June, was banned after an incident in the Heineken Cup game against Ulster at Ravenhill on Dec 12.

With Dupuy, 26, having admitted the offence, his club had expected the former Leicester player to be given a ban at the lower end of the scale. Stade had hoped for a 12-week suspension, which, with mitigating factors such as his admission and contrition, could have been halved.

American boxer Jermain Taylor has withdrawn from the Super Six super-middleweight tournament, which also involves Britain's Carl Froch.

The 31-year-old, a former undisputed world middleweight champion, was knocked out by Germany's Arthur Abraham on his Super Six debut in October.
