Tokyo, 19 July 2021 – The Ad Hoc Division of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will hold its first hearing today in the matter: OG 20/03 Jennifer Harding-Marlin v. St Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee & FINA.
The Applicant Jennifer Harding-Marlin is a swimmer holding dual citizenship in Canada and St. Kitts & Nevis who participates in international swimming competitions representing St.Kitts & Nevis. By decision of the St. Kitts & Nevis Olympic Committee dated 12 July 2021, Jennifer Harding-Marlin was not selected to represent St. Kitts & Nevis at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics Games; she requests that the St. Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee be directed to nominate her for the Women's 100 meters backstroke at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games under the “Universality System”.
The Panel of arbitrators appointed to decide this selection dispute, composed of Mr Manfred Nan, President, (Netherlands), Prof Song Lu (China) and Prof. Luigi Fumagalli (Italy), will hold a hearing in the morning of 19 July 2021. The Panel’s decision is expected to be issued later the same day.

OG 20/02 Loredana Elena Toma v. International Weightlifting Federation (IWF), International Olympic Committee (IOC), Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee (ROSC)
The Sole Arbitrator appointed to decide this eligibility dispute, Mr Juan Pablo Arriagada (Chile), issued an award on the basis of the parties’ written submissions on 18 July 2021. The application was dismissed considering that the CAS ad hoc Division did not have jurisdiction to entertain the matter.
OG 20/01 Terrence Jannings v. World Taekwondo (WT)
The Sole arbitrator appointed to decide this eligibility dispute, Prof. Luigi Fumagalli (Italy), issued a Termination Order on 17 July 2021 after the application was withdrawn.
