Welcome to the employment law chapter of LawInSport’s Annual Review 2022/23.  This year’s chapter will:

  • In light of the ongoing hearing concerning Azeem Rafiq and alleged institutional racism at Yorkshire County Cricket Club, consider whether disciplinary hearings in sport should be held in public or in private; and
  • Provide updates in respect of:
    • Maternity rights;
    • Equal pay rights; and
    • Head injuries.
