How football clubs “transfer” coaching staff - insights from Spain, France, Italy, UK & USA

There were 3791 transfers in the 2022 January transfer window across the men’s and women’s professional football. While player transfers have been discussed regularly, we at LawInSport decided to look into the movement of the people working behind the scenes (but who might be just as highly sought) – the coaching staff.

We spoke to expert lawyers across five different jurisdictions to share how does the movement of football coaching staff between football clubs works in their jurisdiction. We would like to thank all our contributors for sharing their knowledge on this topic.
